Heartland hub host first NASA SPACE hackathon in Owerri.

Human space exploration helps to address fundamental questions about our place in the Universe and the history of our solar system.

Astronauts encounter various challenges while exploring the space, therefore, then need to build more solutions.
Meanwhile, through human space exploration for instance, we expand technology, create new industries and consequently help to foster a peaceful connection with other nations.

It is against this backdrop that we are calling on enthusiast and futuristic Software developers to participate in contributing to building solutions that will enhance the space exploration exercise for a better human community. Space Apps is an international hackathon for coders, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, builders, technologists, and others in cities around the world, where teams engage with NASA’s free and open data to address real-world problems on Earth and in space.

This is the first time Space App Challenge will be coming to the Owerri since its inception some 8 years ago and we are happy to announce to you that we are the HOST.
Space Apps 2018 included over 18,000 participants at more than 200 events in 75 countries. The 48-hour hackathon is designed to inspire innovative ideas and develop solutions in a collaborative, team environment, and participants are not expected to have a fully developed project at the end.

For 2019, we are happy to bring to your notice that we at Heartland Hub will be your host around the South East!
